Aidah Fontenot is a creative director, graphic designer and visual artist.  Studies of color theory, typography, art history and humanities influence her chic, worldly style.  She has garnered international press as a visual artist, fashion designer and photographer including Essence, JET, and Washingtonian magazines, as well as television and radio interviews including the CW Network, WHUR and World Footprints Media. Dubbed a tastemaker and innovator, Aidah is often invited as a panelist/judge for professional and lifestyle organizations such as The Arts Administrators of Color, Brave New Voices, DC Fashion Foundation and America’s Next Top Model. She holds a B.A. in Visual Art – Graphic Design and (nearly) an M.A. in Arts Management.


Aidah is an experienced graphic designer, creative director and brand strategist, specializing in solutions for clients within the arts, culture, entertainment and lifestyle sectors. Aidah is a dedicated arts & wellness educator and coach who believes in the arts as a tool to foster healthier and more economically thriving individuals and communities. After a decade of instruction, curriculum development, and management in art, design, marketing and fashion, Aidah founded COLOR EXPRESSION, a mission-driven organization that facilitates arts and wellness workshops for youth and professionals.


Aidah began arts training at the San Diego School of Creative and Performing Arts in 1991 and her early works were featured in the San Diego Museum of Art, and Centro Cultural in Tijuana, Mexico.
